O3D saw an opportunity for all orthodontists to save money and improve their teeth aligner therapy programs. Existing aligner therapy required buying cookie-cutter packages from the large mainstream aligner vendor. This lack of control made aligner therapy either too costly or not appropriate for many of their patients. The orthodontist is constantly being put in a position of choosing between what is best for the patient and the economics of the needed treatment.
Recognizing the revolution in 3D printing, O3D designed a system of software, 3D printing, and aligner production that allowed orthodontists to bring much of the process inside their practices. Unfortunately, there has been no offering to tie these disparate products and services together. This resulted in many more patients being candidates for aligner therapy at lower prices – which delighted the patients. The orthodontists were also delighted by saving money and being able to offer more customized solutions to their patients. It let them focus more on their area of expertise. As word of mouth grew, so did O3D’s client base, but they needed to make a bigger splash.
Arthur Elliott started working for O3D in late 2015 to take their marketing to the next level. Immediately, AEMG put together an email campaign which increased leads. Simultaneously, AEMG started mapping out a strategy to showcase O3D at the 2016 Annual Session of the AAO in Orlando, FL. Our plan included:
- Pre-show email blasts to targeted customers
- Hubspot marketing automation
- Trade show booth layout design
- Branded promotional materials for the show such as backdrop banners and director’s chairs
- Show flyer design
- Social media content calendar, graphics creation, and management through the show (Twitter and Facebook)
Results: O3D sold 2 printers at the show which covered all of the costs of the show! The booth was visited by several hundred prospects who mentioned they had seen our emails or social media posts. O3D added over 90 names to their prospecting database.
