Position Overview

Arthur Elliott is looking for a mid- to senior-level Copywriter. A writer who comes from Conceptland. Someone who can think and write in a radically impactful way. Someone who goes for the jugular with uncommon ideas. Someone who is a great storyteller. And someone who really gets it, when it comes to brand voice and nailing the vibe of the brand. We are not looking for the same ol’ sh*t, different wins.

Position Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Creative Director
  • Work with Art Director
  • Work with Account Executive and other support team leads
  • Understand the business initiatives, insights and data in order to help develop an impactful strategy with the team
  • Strong consideration of a project’s challenge, solution and impact from the conceptual stage through to the end
  • Understand how to engage with the consumer world, what motivates different personas
  • Stay on task, prioritizing tasks and managing time, based on assignments as determined by Traffic Coordinator and Creative Director
  • Conceptualize unique creative solutions
  • Conceptualize brand campaigns and unique verbal solutions
  • Conceptualize and write for print, digital, video, outdoor, social and other attention-getting stuff
  • Ability to craft a brand voice that feels unique and belongs to the brand
  • Develop brand through various strategic and creative tactics
  • Ability to write succinct, thought-provoking messaging
  • Ability to write brief brand stories that capture the imagination and are effective to the brand’s purpose and unique positioning
  • Ability to iterate to achieve strong unique solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years in writing in creative environment, such as an ad agency or brand agency
  • Killer concept and portfolio a must; looking for something that stands out
  • Strong conceptual ability
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint software
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with team members
  • Effectively communicate concepts
  • Have great integrity and see to it that the job gets done
  • Have a ‘Can Do’ attitude, not just saying it
  • Have a sense of humor would be great
